Dear Lord Gilbert, kindly to be /ignoring this missive until the dailies and individual island reputation pages have been restored. Cheers.

  1. /ignoring a character who has a space character in their name requires the use of quotes.
    Code:
    /ignore "Donald Trump"
People trip over this requirement, hurt their toes and cry. Please to be not requiring the quotes.

  2. Lord help you if you remember about the quotes when you start typing the name, but forget about them by the time you get to the end. If I enter this:
    Code:
    /ignore "Sarah Palin
    I'll see this:
    Quote:
    No closing quote!
    No closing quote!
and all the world sees this:
    Quote:
    Kathryn: /ignore "Sarah Palin
which could potentially be embarrassing. Or be used to exploit ressentiment for fund-raising. Either way...

  3. Here's what you say, Lord Gilbert, if I ask for /help:
    Quote:
Lord Gilbert: *** HELP REQUEST RECEIVED ***
Ahoy there Skyrate! Glad to see you using the radio.
Skyrates' names show up as their faction color.
Use the gray marker on the right to scroll chat.
Use /ignore Player Name to ignore Player Name for that play session.
Use the tabs above to switch between general, faction, and wing chat.
Use /em or /me to perform an emote, like /me waves good-bye.
    » Lord Gilbert waves good-bye.
Wait, Gil, come back! "That play session" means different things to different people, but only to very different people does it mean "forever". And anyway, you forgot your quotes. Wouldn't
    Code:
    /ignore Player Name
just /ignore that other dude named "Player"?

  4. Code:
    /ignore
all by itself is greeted with this response:
    Quote:
is not a valid slash function
    What what?

  5. There's no way to see who you have on your /ignore list. I think may have gone on a wild /ignore bender one day after a second glass of wine with lunch. Please help me to make amends.

  6. /unignore doesn't take immediate effect. It says it does:
    Quote:
Mohandas is no longer being ignored
but I won't in fact be able to hear from Mohandas until I refresh the page, ie. reconnect to the server. (This one is an actual, though minor, bug. I probably shouldn't have left it until last, after the quibbles.)

Erm... I may have done this too, Kathryn. No wonder the Radio's been so quiet the past few months.

Dearest Ms. Kathryn,
It's cumbersome to do so, but I now have access to a list of who has ignored whom. From what I can tell, it's typically a "tit for tat" kind of thing: you ignore me and I ignore you (may it never be so!).
As of right now, it appears that 36 characters have been ignored by 27 players.
You've only ignored one and considering who it is, I don't blame you.

Not a perfect fix, but the /help text has been updated to indicate that you need to surround Player Name with quotes.

Ahoy there, Skyrate! Glad to see you using the ol' Radio. Here are a few things you should know.
Skyrates' names show up as their faction color along with any titles they may have acquired.
Use the blue arrows on the left to resize the chat box and the grey marker on the right to scroll chat.
Use /ignore "Player Name" to ignore Player Name. Use /unignore "Player Name" to unignore them.
Use the tabs above to switch channels between General, Faction, Wing (once you join a Wing), Help and Roleplay.
Use /em or /me to perform an emote, such as /me waves good-bye.
