I'm going to be running a fan shaped search pattern NW of Uurwerk tomorrow. It means for a day and a half I'll be out of the influence race, but I think the value possibly gained is greater than any missions I could run.

I'll be bringing along some very sensitive radio equipment, plus I'm going to cover the area pretty well. If there's something out there, I bet I can find it.

We might also want to publicize this. Perhaps a series of posts in a SCC thread. Nothing extravagant, but a simple, "this is what I'm doing, how I'm doing it, and what I feel about doing it."

So who else is going to explore the outer reaches of skytopia with me?

I'm setting out on a trek to scan Magnus' Throne.

I'll run a spiral course up the peak; lugging some radio equipment. I also have a request out to the Conclave to borrow the device for this trip - it may help us locate whatever we're supposed to find.

Want to come? The more skyrates the merrier. Bring your guts and a long rope - it's a steep climb.

I'll help with the throne expedition, in the form of air support. Carrying a scanner, I'll search for any strange signals, and carry food to whatever plateaus I can find near the party. Plus if you can get any injured people to a flat area I can take them down for medical attention.

Would that be a better place for our scanner? I have a few day smoke flares, we could mark out points to get a closer scan on.

Don't worry about that, I've tweaked my craft's radio for UHF. Just need to limit it to short range and we should be okay.

On my way in I noticed some odd lights on the waters surface, that might be something to keep in mind.

I'll come for the climb on the ground. I'm a fair hand at climbing.

I'll be at Earthbreach, sounds like fun. Not much of a climber, but I love a good base camp! I'll head there straight after I come to after Creight's inauguration on Islo, with all the leftover party favours I can find.

I've been looking around, trying to find a good place to start up the mountain. Where were you planing?

I've been thinking about it, and maybe we shouldn't be looking at the tops of the mountains. I'm not discouraging current expeditions by any means, but didn't the model plane flash every time it passed over a certain spot while circling around the mountain?

I'm sure those studying and taking copious notes on the device can give the coordinates in relation to the peak, so before hiking up to the top, I suggest the teams check in that area as well.

Did anyone think to see if it pointed at some spot in particular?

It beeped and flashed every time it completed a revolution, which would put it at the same spot each time.
