Zhana, you are my hero. :remycute:

I love - and will ALWAYS love - DOOM 3 and it's theme. Glad I'm not the only one here.

I'm currently enjoying 'Dreams of an Absolution'.

And 'I'm your Boogie Man'.

(Was considering making this my character theme...)

I think I'll do what was done at the beginning of the thread... I'm gonna separate my musical taste by genre!

Rock: White Stripes, Black Keys, Weezer

Classic Rock: eh... Not a whole lot

Punk: Bad Religion, Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Dead Kennedys, Misfits, Pinhead Gunpowder, Green Day (early), Operation Ivy, NoFX

SKEH: The Specials, Toots and the Maytals, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Toasters, Upstanding Youth, Streetlight Manifesto, just about anything one can "skank" to. And by skanking, I mean the dance. Sickos.

Swing: The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Benny Goodman and his Orchestra, Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt

Be-bop: Miles Davis, Charlie Parker

Country: The Carter Family, The Carter Sisters, Johnny Cash, good ol' stuff.

Early Rock n' Roll: Chuck Berry and Les Paul. They, collectively = The MAN

Classical: Chopin

OverClocked Remix deserves a spot in this list. Remixed video game music. More than 2000 remixes to date, all the classics have been covered extensively. Unlike some video game remix sites, OCR has some decent submissions standards. In their own words:

"Founded in 1999, OverClocked ReMix is an organization dedicated to the appreciation, preservation, and interpretation of video game music. Its primary focus is www.ocremix.org, a website featuring thousands of free fan arrangements, information on game music and composers, resources for aspiring artists, and a thriving community of video game music fans. "

http://ocremix.org/

I could start making recommendations for specific songs on the site, but there is so much goodness, I wouldn't know where to start. :) I highly recommend checking it out.

This I highly agree on. I should take more time to check that out.

Right now I'm currently listening to The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Track's Overworld Theme.

I can really whistle to it while I take a shower...

Bah, beat me to it finalfunk. However, I'd also plug for an online streaming radio station called rainwave.cc. It has the entire library of OCR, as well as a large collection of Original Soundtracks from classic and modern games. That's pretty much all I listen to these days. Rainwave, my downloaded set of remixes +game OSTs, and my personal collection of anime music.

Everything rock. Soundgarden, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, Alice in Chains, The Beatles, The Doors, Dream Theater, Pearl Jam, Judas Priest, Jethro Tull, Iron Maiden (just got their new album, does anyone else have it?), Def Leppard, Bush, AC/DC, Stone Temple Pilots, Anthrax, Motley Crue, Black Sabbath, Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, Ratt, UFO, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Beck, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol...

And that's just what I've listened to in the last 24 hours :/.

And you beat me to mentioning Rainwave :)

I figured I'd let OCR simmer for a little while before bringing it up, but you got it first. Anyways, I heartily second Cenatur Palpatine's plug. Rainwave has awesome music and an equally awesome community of VG / VG music lovers.
