am I really supposed to lose 43 units of 116 cargo, on a level 37 loss (I took out 4 of the 5 pirates).

That seems a little extreme when flying safe to boot. One loss destroys my profit and puts me in the red again. It'll be four hours before I can make a profit again (yes, I know the game will be down about then; I'm asking mostly just for info at this point, and to note that that seems a little high).

Thes.

Supposedly, the amount of cargo you lose is more or less X% of your total cargo, where X is the combat level of the combat you lost.

Since, you lost a level 37 combat, and 37% of 116 is 42.92, yep, that's the way it works.

Now, should it be that high? I don't know. I think making it X/2 % would probably be a little more reasonable, especially with the much higher buy costs of all goods.

What about factoring the fraction of pirates left alive?

Level * (Surviving Pirates / Total Pirates) %

Ooh, that'd be pretty interesting. So if you manage to take down all but one plane in a huge swarm, it's not quite as bad. I support this idea.

This is in line to be fixed. It is *far* too punishing at this time.
