Mind putting it up for me? :remycute:

I can do that, but I really prefer you post with the character who is to receive the avatar. It makes my testing easier.

Of course, not used to this kind of forum yet. :remydizzy:

[Edit] Many thanks :)

Skycust doesn't seem to be working for me. Was there an update for it or something?

Hmmmm. Same here. Only ones that work are local substitutions.

Is this still happening? If so, could you tell me what browser you're using?

It was a little slow to load for me, but eventually worked fine.
FF 14.0.1

Always was a tad slow sometimes.

I'm thinking that this is related to the Chrome Update some days ago. Skylight was updated for it, but I think Skycust hasn't been.

So FF users may be fine, but I think this is impacting Chrome.

Chrome here too, and like I said, local over rides work, just not fetching from the spreadsheet, I guess. I'm using skyrates style, as I recall.

Working fine for me on Chrome 20.0.1132.57, Skycust 1.5. This smells suspiciously similar to the http/https breakage some time ago, or it could be api deprecation happening earlier than I expected... I see 21 is out now; mind posting your versions while I go check what it broke?

Post subject:  Re: Skycust

Where can I find the Skycust version number? I don't see it listed within skycust.user.js.
Code:
// ==UserScript==
// @name             Skycust
// @description      A forum avatar-replacer based on a remote canonical image source.

FWIW, my copy was last modified Sept 1, 2011.

No, you're fine, Calvin, you're on Firefox :P I just meant the folks on Chrome who are having issues; it's only the Chrome extension that has a version number, not the Firefox greasemonkey script.

Post subject:  Re: Skycust

I am using Skycust 1.5, 'newest' version. I am running chrome at the newest updated version, which is 21.0.1180.79 m

Thanks for addressing this btw.

Post subject:  Re: Skycust

Okay, the Chrome update should be winging its way into your browsers soon. Chrome apparently broke onRequest, and replaced it with a subtly different onMessage. Thank god I had a couple of good examples of other extensions fixing this exact problem...

I also took the opportunity to upgrade to manifest v2. This shouldn't really affect anyone, except that I have to use a slightly different (and safer?) method to get the names of providers, which may break anyone who was fiddling with name_checkers directly. I really doubt anyone was, but...

While porting that to the greasemonkey extension, I noticed something. Calvin and anyone else who's using Firefox: are you able to add providers? I haven't been keeping up with firefox state of the art, so this bug might already be fixed, but as of Firefox 10.0.6 and Greasemonkey 0.9.22, that is broken for me. Is it just me?

Post subject:  Re: Skycust

I seem to be able to add providers to my list in Firefox, but I don't seem to see avatars from the added providers.

edit: disregard that, works fine.

Looks like you fixed it Sluor. Least now I won't need to manually override some of them.

Thanks for keeping this working :smile:

Can I please have my current Skycust avatar moved to the Alternates list, and have it replaced with this one?

Like that?

Excusez-moi, but I seem to not be skycust'd anymore. Am I grey with a spiffy blue hat to anyone else? If no, then: https://photos-4.dropbox.com/t/0/AAAhTq ... PfJp_QxZdw ?

I think this will work.
