is Not True. Or, at least, we can't guarantee anything. I've removed it.

It's important to note that *any* player can remove *any* image, or *alter* any image, or *add* any image, in *anyone's* name, on the unmoderated list.

The only way to protect yourself from this is to get your avatar promoted to one of the managed lists.

Which we'll do, just make sure we know about it. Just posting your to unmoderated isn't enough, we might miss it. Leave a comment in the column meant for that, or post to the forums, or even PM if needed.

And I'd like to stress that it doesn't necessarily have to be one of ours. If someone else feels like managing a provider, and you trust them at least as much as you trust us, feel free to get it promoted there instead. Free market, and all that jazz.

(We just get to have the advantage of being the default providers because we wrote the code :P)

You may want to update Skycust from your preferred source and look in the top right of the screen :}

I completely forgot I could do that. I blame Kathy, since she wrote that bit of the code originally >_>

Thank you to everyone who's said nice things so far. If you're using and liking Skycust, please say nice things to keep me motivated :P

Gah, update again. Someday I'm going to learn to quash bugs before releasing...

Personally, I don't mind the "dual usage". However, I suspect that the Wikia folks do mind.
It would be most unfortunate to have the Skybrary shut down from too many of us leeching.

I've found a slight problem:

If, for example, you dislike Sluor's avatar and change it back to default, it only does on one post, not the whole page and doesn't remember it from page to page.

Hm. I'm getting that they all change (rather than none) if you override and then refresh, but I can confirm that only one changes when you just override. Entering into our bug tracker.

Yeah, I was mistaken with that they don't remember from page to page.

Can't wait for my artist friend to finish mine.

Ooh! Idea!

If we have a full-body render of our character, can it be made to override the character shown in the flash client?

Unfortunately, I think Greasemonkey can only modify HTML, not the Skyrate client's Javascript. Ironic, seeing as Greasemonkey scripts are Javascript.

The skyrates client is Flash (i.e., Actionscript), not javascript. If it was javascript, Greasemonkey could definitely do it.

And no, I can't. Not without either a) access to the source code or b) setting up a proxy server, both of which are heavyweight solutions and raise significant security issues.

Would it go to far to ask for a sticky?

Would you guys be able to add in an override for the broken badges?

hrm.

yes.

Would you prefer that added to the existing script, or as a separate script? Also, we'd have to figure out what badges to use, since I don't have the originals -- it's easy enough to use the forum badges for the factions, but that doesn't cover the others.

Also, the best behavior we'd be able to reproduce is the 2.3 behavior, which contained many lies and didn't have the daily badges at all.

I, as coder, would prefer that to be a separate script. Skycust is complicated enough as it is :P

You know, those broken badges are an excellent point. I investigated this, and it was dead simple -- someone just forgot to copy over a directory when we redesigned the website for 2.5. Took about 30 seconds to fix.

So... are those numbers accurate?
