Apparently there has been some discussion on Avians/Reptile characters.

While we may have stated opinions in the past, here is our most current standing:

Reptile and Avian characters do exist in the Skyrates world and are canonical. However, they tend to be much rarer than other creatures. Not near-extinction, mind you, just rarer.

No characters (Avians included) are capable of independent flight, and half-breed characters still do not exist.

While I'm here, I'll also clarify population.

The average population of a Skyland is roughly 150,000. Some sky lands have significantly more (Cidade, Grottopolis) and others much less. Skytopia has roughly 7.5 million people.

But what about fish? Kidding, kidding, I don't really want to RP as a fish.

So Alpha platforms do have people living on/in them?

Thank you, Taft, for the surprisingly swift response. I'm glad that some final say could be put down that will help calm the fervour of both sides of the argument. Also, interesting tidbit of information you released for us, too.

Alphas have always been inhabited, not huge populations (maybe, devs have never been clear) but they do have at least semi-permanent populations.

I'd bet Alpha 1 probably has the smallest population of any registered skyland, or at least of all the Alphas. Can't see people wanting to stay there for long either...

Ed: To put the population thing in perspective, the entirety of Skytopia as-we-know-it has a population comparable to London or New York, roughly twice that of Berlin, and close to four times that of Paris, just to name a few.

7.5 million isn't nearly as big as it sounds.
