Unfortunately, I think Greasemonkey can only modify HTML, not the Skyrate client's Javascript. Ironic, seeing as Greasemonkey scripts are Javascript.

The skyrates client is Flash (i.e., Actionscript), not javascript. If it was javascript, Greasemonkey could definitely do it.

And no, I can't. Not without either a) access to the source code or b) setting up a proxy server, both of which are heavyweight solutions and raise significant security issues.

yes.

Would you prefer that added to the existing script, or as a separate script? Also, we'd have to figure out what badges to use, since I don't have the originals -- it's easy enough to use the forum badges for the factions, but that doesn't cover the others.

Also, the best behavior we'd be able to reproduce is the 2.3 behavior, which contained many lies and didn't have the daily badges at all.

I, as coder, would prefer that to be a separate script. Skycust is complicated enough as it is :P

You know, those broken badges are an excellent point. I investigated this, and it was dead simple -- someone just forgot to copy over a directory when we redesigned the website for 2.5. Took about 30 seconds to fix.

If you see an icon there, you'll need to click it and "Clear this override". If the icon's gone it's a little more complicated.

Also, svg's might not be the best type of file for this...

I'm not the technical wizard behind this, but I think something about it being vector and not really having a set resolution (I think?) might have something to do with it.
